Job Description UNIX Productions Engineer
You support projects during their implementation and
rollout phase and ensure a smooth transition to production environment in time
and scope. Furthermore you are responsible for reviews of application and service
capacity to ensure error-free operation.

- Supporting Releases and providing non-functional requirements of our customer facing applications and services[*]
- Act as single point of contact and provide an end-to-end solution for the IT environment[*]
- Supporting the application deployments, the components configuration and the maintenance of operational handbooks[*]
- Developing and maintaining our deployment and monitoring toolset for production services and associated applications[*]
- Documenting Infrastructure, Architecture and Configuration Items within the assigned application environment[*]
- Learning
from and exchanging experiences with other experts in the team and the
organization about latest technologies and techniques in the area of
responsibilities[*]
- Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and techniques in the area of responsibilities[*]
- Ensuring that IT services, processes and procedures are compliant with applicable regulations
Requirements
· Application support experience in high performance online environment
· Strong technical background with UNIX (Red Hat, Sun Solaris), Apache, PHP, JBoss
· Knowledge of application technologies (Java, MySQL, bash scripting)
· Experience of software development lifecycle methodologies and principles
· Nice to have: Experience in working with geographically dispersed teams
· Insight in software development lifecycle methodologies and principles
· Self-motivated, delivery focused, driven
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Fluent English, good German is a bonus
The minimum salary for this position is EUR 35.520,-- p.a.
